Join us for National Historic Preservation Month as we offer guided tours of preserved historic buildings including:
Two historic homes
A historic church and cemetery
A decommissioned church adapted to a residence, and
An urban flower farm
You'll also get to walk through an active job-site nearing completion of a multi-year rehabilitation, where you will to learn about sensitively incorporating historic and new construction into rehabilitation projects.

Where do I receive my map of the tour properties?
Please check-in at City Hall (204 Ash Street) the day of the tour to receive your tickets and printed tour map.
Is there a dress code for the tour?
Due to the historic nature of these properties, we ask that participants avoid clothing or accessories that may cause damage to the historic building fabric or interiors. Please be aware of your surroundings inside the properties and do not touch objects/furnishings or lean/rub against walls.
Please note that the "Preservation in Progress" house is an active construction site in which participants will get the chance to explore an 1885 Florida Vernacular Farmhouse that is undergoing rehabilitation. Although all efforts will be made to minimize potential hazards, we urge participants to dress appropriately.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Although there is no minimum age requirement, this tour may not be suitable for young children. Strollers are not permitted inside of the tour properties.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking is available on-street throughout downtown and in designated public parking lots located at the following locations:
Corner of N. 2nd & Alachua Streets;
Behind the Public Library (25 N. 4th Street);
Corner of 2nd & Broome Streets;
S. 4th Street (behind Amelia Tavern);
City Hall Parking Lot (204 Ash Street).
Additionally, limited parking will be available at St. Peter's Episcopal Church (801 Atlantic Avenue)
Shuttle service will be provided between tour sites on a first-come basis. Please note that the residential properties on the tour may not be ADA accessible.
What can I bring into the event?
Due to the nature of the tour, we ask that you leave pets, strollers, high heels, large bags, and food/drink at home.
Will photography be allowed?
Photography is prohibited inside the residential properties, but is allowed on the exterior .
What's the refund policy?
No refunds will be granted.
Will there be public restrooms available?
Public restrooms and water fountains are available at the Comfort Station adjacent to the Train Depot Welcome Center (102 Centre Street), at City Hall (204 Ash Street), and at St. Peter's Episcopal Church (801 Atlantic Avenue)

CONSENT AND RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
By purchase of this ticket, I do hereby consent to, understand, acknowledge, and agree to assume all risks and hazards incidental to participation in the 2022 Preservation Tour.
I do further promise and hereby further agree to waive, release, absolve, and covenant not to sue the City of Fernandina Beach, its mayor, commissioners, employees, officers, volunteers, representatives, attorneys and agents, Fernandina Beach Main Street, and individual tour location property owners, for any and all claims, including claims for equitable or injunctive relief, damages, loss or injury of any kind resulting from or in any way arising directly or indirectly out of my participation in this event. THIS RELEASE INCLUDES A RELEASE FOR ANY AND ALL LOSSES OR INJURIES ARISING OUT OF ANY AND ALL NEGLIGENT OR WRONGFUL ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF THE CITY OF FERNANDINA BEACH, ITS MAYOR, COMMISSIONERS, EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, VOLUNTEERS, REPRESENTATIVES, ATTORNEYS AND AGENTS, FERNANDINA BEACH MAIN STREET, AND INDIVIDUAL TOUR LOCATION PROPERTY OWNERS.
I further promise and agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the City of Fernandina Beach, its mayor, commissioners, employees, representatives, officers, volunteers, attorneys and agents, Fernandina Beach Main Street, and individual tour location property owners, from and against all liability, claims and expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, in connection with any and all claims whatsoever for personal or bodily injury or death, including loss of use, or property damage of any kind and character in connection with and arising directly or indirectly out of my participation in this event. This indemnity agreement encompasses all damages and claims, including claims for equitable or injunctive relief, arising out of my participation in the 2022 Preservation Tour.
